Comments:
Given our position on the sunspot cycle, I was very pleased with the overall
propagation conditions. Friday evening brought the best low band conditions I
have experienced in the eight years I have been operating from this location. I
even made 11 160 meter Qs to K/VE using my G5RV at 35 feet. And this was
without shorting the two conductors. It was also great to have 10 meter
openings both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's was short and I only heard one
station...K3LR. He came back on one call which is not bad with me running 150
watts to a hex beam at 40 feet. Sunday's opening was much longer with NR5M
being the opening signal (for me) and being heard for at least two hours. The
band eventually opened to California for many hours, but there were not many 6's
watching 10. As mentioned by KH6TU and KH7B, there were many thunderstorms in
our part of Hawaii and they made copy very difficult. I had lots of fun and
keep learning more and more every year! Thanks to K6BV for all six bands and
everyone else for all the Qs!

Local restrictions prevent me from bigger and higher antennas.
