Comments:
Tough to play in this one low power. Never heard or much less worked a single
WRTC competitor.
Worked quite a few HQ and two (I think) R2 stations.
Nice to hear quite a few YL's operating, got a call from a 13 year old YL who
has been licensed for two years. Gud to have some new ops into contesting!
Only worked 1 JA, heard some VKs and JAs Sunday morning on 40 long path.
I made the mistake of saying "CQ test" on my recorded SSB CQ message.
Had several stations call and ask me "what I was testing?" and inform
me which band I was on and that the station sounded "OK"
Saturday night IO4HQ processor was so dense his splatter was 5khz wide at 14248,
totally inappropriate for an "HQ" station.
Lots of fun and the DARC WRTC show on SW BC was very good, but please, not the
hour before the contest. In the future something like this would be great the
night before the test.
DARC did a great job hosting WRTC 18
