Comments:
Didn't have the time to sit in the chair and the conditions seemed to stink for
the most part. I did great in the
completely-unable-to-make-a-QSO-so-I-will-enter-the-zone-5-LP-SWL category, as I
couldn't get anyone in Europe to hear me on 80 meters, and struggled on 40 and
20. Highlight of the contest was hearing a zone 39 Reunion Island station in
the clear. But of course my 100 watts probably wasn't making it to anywhere
close. Still I try, because I always remember one time when I hauled my radio
and straight key outside in the late 1980's during a CQWW CW weekend, and sat in
the sun and called CQ on 10 meters. It was dead, but I was trying, because I
knew that was my only chance to make a contact with my bad vertical antenna.
Suddenly that day, a very strong VQ9 answered my 12 wpm CQ.
So I always keep trying.
