Comments:
Part time effort. Nothing broke, smoldered or became inflamed except a
lightning strike took out something important nearby so was forced off air for
an hour...which really didn't matter anyway.
Heard a slug of EU on 160M but only 1 of them could hear me. Makes a guy a
little crazy when you hear somebody well while you're working on your third
hernia trying to get his attention. Proves that CW is much healthier in this
regard.
If anybody has a better phonic for the letter "T", that works
better than "Tango", "Tokyo", "Tomato",
"Texas" or "Toopid", please let me know. That cost me 4
mults because I could not get the "T" into the other guy's log.
Please be aware that we are now speeding rapidly toward the Stew Perry
TopBand DX challenge at the end of December with a couple of excellent warm ups,
namely the CQWW-CW and ARRL 160M test coming up before then. The plaqueing
platform will open soon for "The Big Stew", so if you're shaky or
completely a doofus with CW, get started now so you can play in all these
contests also.
This radio stuff is really a lot of fun!
