Comments:
Arrgh RCS-4 Ameritron ant switch failed 10 min before start of contest. Rain
just bucketing down , backyard flooded and soggy, wind blowing 60k...went
outside and disconnected the 4 antenna feedlines and put in a manual B&W
antenna switch, dried off and ended up just staying on 40 for the majority of
the limited time I had.
That was Saturday. Sunday just gorgeous and sunny but little time to operate,
isn't that how it goes!! Went thru 5 fuses trying to figure out the RCS-4
problem, worked fine on the bench with short coax between switch box and relay
box, all antennas work FB on manual switch. Murphy is alive and well!! It was
fun anyway, 73, Roger VA1RST
