Comments:
It is great to see the band full of signals and for conditions to be so good.
The first evening was excellent with lots of mults. Within the first six
minutes, I had worked my first 5 pointer and lots of Europeans followed. QSB
and skewed paths provided some interest! Lots of QRN when the beverages pointed
in a Westerly direction, but all quiet to the East making even weak Europeans
solid copy. The second evening was not so good. Signals from Europe were
scarcer and perhaps a bit weaker. QRN to the West was at least as bad and
perhaps a bit worse. My goal was to at least match last year's score, but I
failed primarily because of interruptions at peak times and of course, creeping
old age
! No equipment malfunctions to blame, but there are always improvements to be
made to antenna and all the gadgets that make a good score. (I've got to put the
beverage selector in a better location!)
Thanks for the Q's.
