Comments:
Decided to go QRP for three reasons:
1) Had to leave town Saturday morning, so knew my operating time was limited.
Turned on the radio at start of contest and heard only locals, and figured they
could hear me fine QRP (once I turned the beam the right way) so why not?
2) Figured nobody else would be foolish enough to try QRP mixed at solar min, so
might win "only guy who showed up" for my section (EB)
3) 10m is the only band where my low beam is actually at a reasonable height
relative to the wavelength, so I thought QRP might work
Never really got a chance to test #3, as band just started opening when I had to
leave for the airport (I heard a FL station fading in.)
Nice to work local friends; look forward to seeing how they do and reading their
comments.
