Comments:
We had a small Tropical storm move through the area before and during the
contest, it seemed to have the effect of eliminating any thunderstorm activity
in the area making for the quietest contest evening I can remember here.
QRN was only S2-3 for first several hours of contest, with no static crashes!
Ahhh. my ears loved it!
The high winds from the storm managed to buckle the bottom of one of my vertical
supports, lost about 8 feet of height on South vertical, just tightened up the
guy wires and ran with it as is, didn't seem to make much difference, SWR went
up a hair.
Anyway, had fun, best DX was ZL3IX which is an ATNO from here for me on 160!!!
Missed RT0F and JA3YBK who couldn't hear me...called JA3YBK for over 30
minutes!
Thanks to everyone for a fun contest!!!
Rig: K3S to AL82
Ant: Pair phased Inverted Ls spaced 1/4 wave beaming North only (relay box dead,
no Southern beam this time! Sorry LU8DPM missed you!)
