Comments:
Conditions were spectacular !! My local noise problem is solved. I put 60 Q’s
in the log before sunset. I worked first EU right at my sunset. Then took a
two plus hour break to watch my Clemson Tigers defeat Norte Dame in the Cotton
Bowl. When I got back on at 8 PM local I started working west coast stations.
Many were very strong. I had a pipeline to the west coast all night. I worked
dozens of 7 and 8 point contacts. I then had a nice run of 130 Q’s. The
antenna improvements I made this fall were evident with more EU stations calling
me than before. I managed to work a couple dozen EU stations. Also worked KH7M
very early in the evening. Best DX was UW2M and UW5M (Ukraine) for 17 points
each. I quit at around 3AM after EU sunrise. I didn’t get back on in the
morning. This was not a full effort with only 9 hours in the chair but it sure
was fun !
Flex 6600M and Wires. Thanks -Joe N3HEE
