Comments:
As usual, I waited until the night before to try to set up SO2R, and I wasn't
successful. It definitely would have helped me out.
Band conditions seemed OK, but 80 was noisy here. I had a second antenna set
for running up and down the West Coast, but it didn't pan out, and it was such a
drop in signal strength facing East that I didn't want to lose my run frequency.
I never heard OR or UT on 20 and missed MT on 40 and 80. Missed ND, RI, DE,
DC, and LA (?) on all bands.
I never saw a signal on 10, and played out whatever I could on 15. Took my
break early to attend to some dog-sitting, and think I would have been better
off taking it later in the evening when some of the East Coast part-timers went
off to bed.
