Got on early evening and heard nothing on 20 or 40 meters. 40 meters did not
want allow short path from IL to WI. My antenna is an alpha-delta DX-EE
40-20-15-10 in my attic. I wanted to work this contest so I tuned to 80 meters
and it was hopping. I found that my external tuner would tune 80 cw and I was
able to work with 50 watts through what should have been a wet noodle on 80! Had
fun working a new band for me.
