Comments:
Strange evening. Started late because I was chasing 5X3C on 80 meters for a new
band country. He was very weak so decided to do CWT and come back around his
sunrise at 0356. Camped out on 40 meters with lots of callers but the unusual
things was the Russians calling. I worked four but there were others in there.
That happens on 20 occasionally but this is the first time for 40. Got lots of
CWA students in the last 15 minutes but at 0356 I went back to 80 to see if I
could hook 5X3C. Bingo - got him! So it was a very interesting and fruitful
evening. I actually enjoy these slow speed sessions every three months for a
change of pace and to give some of the less experienced operators a better
chance to participate.
