Comments:
All 6m: 3 CW 15 SSB and the rest FT8.
First FT8 experience. . getting ready felt like being back in school, with the
exam Sat at 1100, having not read the lessons and having cut most of the
classes. But somehow it mostly worked.
Ninety+ percent of the contest was akin to watching paint dry, but the band
explosed briefly to S. Ariz Sat night, then an amazing double-hop east coast
extravaganza occurred on Sunday evening in the last hours of the contest.
Dealing with an east-coast pile-up on FT8 was a learning experience , at times
4 or 5 stations calling at once.
Equipment: Icom 756PRO-II + KPA-1500 amp into an Innov 6 el 6m beam at 55 feet
AGL.
Very happy to work K1JT. Also NS friends WD0T and AA7V on SSB and CW resp;
heard but did not work W7OM on F8. Rod is our most senior NS participant.
