Comments:

Another single-band, 2-meter only effort concentrating on maximizing the grid
square count ... letting the QSO total fall where it may.

Most grid squares were well represented this contest. A special thanks to the
rovers that braved the high heat and humidity to put the 'rare' ones on the air.

Highlight was the sporadic E opening(s) Saturday afternoon with nine stations
worked in eight grids ... EM09 (KS), EM17 (KS), EM27 (KS), EM31 (TX), EN10 (NE),
EN20 (NE), DM78 (CO) and DM79 (CO). The first eight contacts occured from 1828z
to 1939z. These contacts were all on ssb ... it's doubtful that they could have
been completed on FT8 due to the fast up and down nature of the opening. A
'late' contact was made with K5QE at 2043z on FT8. That opening was much less
sporadic than the earlier ones with at least 15 minutes solid decoding on FT8.

Among the stations worked were two in Colorado ... the furthest 1735 miles. The
MUF 'hot spot' was in perfect position over EN51 at the time. Colorado has been
the 'holy grail' of states to work at W1VD going back to the mid 80's
multi-multi contest station days.

Sunday morning MSK144 was productive and great fun as always with eight
stations/eight grids worked.

Contact breakdown as follows:

PH 62
FT8 34
MSK144 8
CW 1

Thanks to all that participated making it a very fun event!
