Comments:
Normally some of our operators are members of the Cleveland Hamfest and we split
the weekend up with the contest and the hamfest set up. This weekend it fell on
different weekends. One of our Operators was out of the country and it was a 2
man operation. Friday night was a bit slow and we had a lot of storms to the NW
of us which got very close but we never had to unplug. The noise was an issue.
We worked 31 hours, slept well, and ate well the entire weekend. We have taken
the large loop antenna down and after this weekend after replacing it with
efficient dipole antennas seems to be just as good with less space consumed. The
Optibeam on the triplexer worked great again now only if we can get a band
opening on 15m... A couple more antenna projects this year before the snow hit
and we will be set for the year. All in all a great contest with good activity,
hope to see everyone soon.
