Comments:
Conditions for me were just awful. I worked a grand total of 16 JA stations
divided between 40 and 20. The total number of Europeans worked was 598 and
points per QSO equaled 2.2 I spent way too much time for score purposes chasing
multipliers, many of whom I never worked, when a multiplier was worth 4 QSOS or
less. Finally decided Saturday afternoon that I would pretend it was the ARRL
Contest and try to sit on a frequency for a couple hours working USA stations.
One of the many who were not in the database brought a smile when he introduced
himself as Paul and told me he was in the United States of America. Used
computer voicing for 95% of contacts. Couldn't have worked it without that
because of a nagging cough.
Hopefully the conditions will be better for the CW Contest next month.
