Comments:
Operated high power this time to try to maximize my score and fun. I did beat my
low power score but not by much. As usual I got off to a slow start. This seems
to happen every year? Started and stayed on 40 and 80 meters Saturday. Spent
more time on 20 meters on Sunday afternoon this time. Completed a clean sweep
Sunday afternoon on 20 meters by working WTX, NT and AK. That was fun! High
power seemed to help on 20 meters which is a weaker band for me. Had fun
watching online score boards to keep motivated. Had a few issues with the radio
that caused minor delays. For some reason the TX enable line would get stuck on
? Not sure what is causing this ? Perhaps RF (running high power) getting into
radio ?
Flex 6600M with low wire antennas. Ten Tec Titan 425 amplifier at 1KW.
