Comments:
Great fun and very challenging. 160M can be done from a small suburban lot using
100W and an Inverted L.
Friday night was much easier using S&P. Saturday night and early Sunday
morning was more of a careful and slow hunting game with occasional running.
There was some interesting propagation. Many loud stations could not hear me.
Closer stations (4-500 miles)and further away (900+ miles) were no trouble. I
had some bad localized QRN (noise floor at S6/7) Saturday evening between 0000
and 0200. Decided to watch a movie and jump back in around 0300. The noise
disappeared and didn't return for the duration.
QSO problems seem to equalize out after 0400 when most stations responded on the
first call.
Station: TenTec Omni 7 @ 100W, Inverted L at 45 ft, PC running N1MM+
Thanks for the QSO's.
73,
Rick N1DC
