Comments:
First time contesting on the Top Band. Antenna is OCF Dipole, 300' N/S facing.
Rig is a Flex 6400M, using N1MM.
The atmosphere was very cooperative at NLI, no static crashes, noise floor was
low enough to copy weak signals. A large majority of strong signals on the band
covered up by weaker signals on many sections I needed.
The average speed was at 25 wpm, making it easier to have good S & P runs,
all in all a very enjoyable contest. As expected the band opened to the west
coast, for me, around 11 PM, wish I was more of a night owl! 73's
