Comments:
Did not get started until late Saturday afternoon. I was doing my
"yearly" cloning of my hard drives and it always takes longer than I
expected. Since my computer has four REAL RS-232 hardware ports plus a real LPT
port I do want to keep on using it for as long as I can. Obviously my home-brew
SO2R interface is highly dependent on this type of interface.
For the short amount of time I operated I ended up just running 99% of the time.
So basically I just used the spotting network to see how well I was being
heard.
Unlike the last time I operated in a contest I had many contacts with Europe on
80M. 40M was the best band for me and I worked several European stations who
had serial numbers greater than 2000!
