Comments:
I had a goal to do the full 10 hours, and get 400 Qs. I hit them both, so that
was gratifying. I still have so much to learn. Started on 15 and slogged a few
Qs. My antenna is really lousy on that band, so I quickly jumped down to 20,
where things were better. Did some S&P and a few unsatisfying runs. Then
went to 40 where things were even better. Worked the band as hard as I could and
had a few more productive runs. I took one of my 30 min breaks and came back to
80. Man was it great! I just can't get used to the S2 noise level out here -
awesome!. I actually turned off the attenuator on the K3. Had a couple of my
best rates ever (at my own station). I think I ran about 6 minutes over, so I
probably won't end up with 500 Qs. Thanks for all the contacts. Great to work
so many PVRC and BLUE RIDGE team mates!
