Comments:
Having had to miss the 2019 ARRL CW SS, I wanted to at least play for a couple
hours in this one so that I could run into old friends I usually meet in SS CW.
I intended only a cameo appearance in NAQP, but ended up having too much fun and
stayed BIC for 9 hours (started late, ran right up to the bell).
All credit goes to those stations who heard and QSO'd me on 160 and 80 because I
have no real antenna on those bands. I suspect I missed a bunch of mults on 20
and perhaps a few on 15 by starting late, but so it goes.
I still prefer the longer exchange on SS CW, but this contest runs a close
second for the friendly, highly competent CW ops I encounter. It's great to
hear so many relatively new callsigns running a stream of callers at 30+ WPM and
handling the pileups with aplomb.
Many thanks to all for a great way to while away a few hours on a balmy January
Saturday (63 degrees F!) when I should have been chipping away at the 4 inch
layer of ice on my driveway - I don't feel guilty in the least because the warm
air did it for me.
73,

Rig: K3/10 at 5 watts to a Lazy-H (cut for 20 meters, used on all bands - it's
my only antenna)
