Comments:
Without a competitive setup, the goal was to maximize the fun factor, which was
decidedly low until about 03 zulu. Two best clock hours were 6-7Z and 8-9Z,
shortly before I quit reaching 700 Qs. The (relative) highlight was the 40M EU
opening, yielding a bunch of HQ stations. Lows were the number of JAs worked (30
on 40M and 3 on 20M) and 80M propagation. I guess that high ridge that
completely blocks the North-Western direction, along with the vast majority of
RF from Japan, is something I have to learn to live with. Or move.
Setup: one old radio and an even older amplifier running between 500 and 800W
into dipoles 15-80.
