Yet another field operation from Witt Hill in Norway, ME.
I'm ok at copying callsigns but not much else. So this was a 23 hour adrenalin
rush.
Wire beam antennas worked great. It's nice to work stations in the other
direction from Europe for a change.
Highlight of the contest was having a few stations actually come back to CQ's on
80 meters. That was not expected. Thanks to everyone for their patience and
skill to dig out weak signals.
The weather was amazing. Did not even use the heater. Almost abandoned the hill
on Saturday afternoon when the sound of random gunshots and ATV's started
getting closer. But they stopped shortly after sundown.
