Comments:
Managing the 120 minutes of off time is one of the most important strategies of
NAQP. This time, I took one 30 minute off time in the late afternoon during the
slump, then left the remaining 90 minutes for the end of the contest period. We
shall see if this was the right strategy.
Band conditions were workable, but not great. 80 m was the runaway band this
time, with 40 m long and noisy. I worked four band sweeps with K9CS, N9RV and
W9FY.
When conditions were right, I practiced 2BSIQ. This resulted in more than a few
muffed QSOs, but when it worked the rate was staggering. I will be working on
refining my function key definitions to streamline 2BSIQ.
