Comments:
MY SECOND LARGE EFFORT USING N1MM+ POINT AND CLICK/BANDMAP METHOD. EFFORT ALMOST
EXCLUSIVELY S&P EXCEPT FOR OCCASIONAL RUNS ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING. SHOULD HAVE SPENT MORE TIME ON 40 BUT CONDTIONS/NR OF STATIONS DIDN'T
WARRANT STAYING AROUND- TRIED SOME RUNS SATURDAY EVENING ON 40 BUT TO NO AVAIL.
20 WAS OPEN ALMOST ALL OF THE TIME AND HAD THE GREATEST DENSITY OF SIGNALS FROM
EUROPE.
TWO MAJOR INTERRUPTIONS- GARAGE DOOR OPENER FAILED AND SPENT LARGE AMOUNT OF
TIME SATURDAY LATE MORNING & AFTERNOON, ARRANGING TO GET IT FIXED. SECOND
INTERRUPTIONJ WAS TO WATCH KNICK PLAYOFF GAME WITH MY SON ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON
SHOULD HAVE STAYED ON THE AIR SUNDAY AFTERNOON- GAME WAS A BUST, BUT SPENT
QUALITY TIME WITH SON WHICH WAS OBJECTRIVE. FIRST TIME HE VISITED OUR HOUSE IN
16 MONTHS.
ONE RUDE DUDE FROM BELARUS- I WAS RUNNING LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON ON 20 FOR AN
HOUR AND HE JUST STARTED CALLING CQ. NO RESPONSE WHEN I ASKED HIM TO LISTEN
FIRST. HE WAS VERY LOUD AND I ASSUMED HE JUST DISREGARDED MY SIGNAL. THAT WAS
ONLY NEGATIVE INCIDENT- OVERALL CW OPERATORS WERE ALL FIRST CLASS.
SURPRISES- GREY LINE VK4 SAT 2300 AND VU2 SUN 2300 BOTH ON 20 BOTH OVER S9.
CALL USED- NN3SI- SMITHSONIAN AMATEUR RADIO GROUP
EQUIPMENT USED : TS590S, AMERITRON AL-80A 3-500z KW AMP, 160 METER HORIZONTAL

YEAR.
