Comments:
Very poor 6 meter propagation in Arizona again this year. On Saturday there
were a few brief openings but with rapid and deep QSB it was difficult to
complete contacts. A lot of potential multipliers were covered up by the local
FT8 CQ machines. The following chart shows my distribution of contacts amongst
modes.
Band Mode QSOs Pts Grd Pt/Q
50 CW 12 12 6 1.0
50 FT8 41 41 32 1.0
50 MSK144 5 5 5 1.0
50 USB 65 65 19 1.0
144 CW 1 1 1 1.0
144 FM 1 1 0 1.0
144 USB 45 45 11 1.0
420 FM 2 4 0 2.0
420 USB 41 82 9 2.0
Total Both 213 256 83 1.2
Thankfully the Arizona Rover Swarm led by N7GP has grown and become more
experienced. They contributed the majority of my 2 meter and 70 cm contacts and
grids, including rarely activated DM31 and DM23. Caught one brief opening to
DM26 in Nevada for my only out of state contact on 2 meter SSB.
Thanks for the contacts and your patience.
