Comments:
A rough way to get back on. The new station setup seems to be working OK after
the lightning strike several months ago, but the operator needs to dust off the
rust. Using what, to me, is a totally new setup with TR4W. Very similar to the
old TR-Log but I was tentative. Marked this as SO2R but never made a single SO2R
interleaved contact. QLFed several exchanges, so pls pardon the newness.
Hopefully I will be better, but was falling way behind the top ops tonight.
Five min segments: 6, 7, 9, 7, 5, and 7. Eighty meters was horrible here. Weak
sigs and lots or QRN. The SAL 30 did not seem to be working at all. Lots of
improvements needed.
Got a "wow" from KZ5D when we worked the first time, so I'm back (in
small letters) but need a lot of practice with the new software. Lots of really
good numbers tonight!
73, Jim N3BB
