Comments:
A return to 'normal' multi op contesting!
All back in the Contest Clubhouse (new A/C unit a big attraction!) Picnic lunch
on the patio ... no worrying about Covid ...
And, having at least 1 if not 4 open bands at once! 7:30am big decision? WHICH
BAND to use! Lots of signals on 10m, 15m (including EU) 20m of course (but
surprisingly few) and 40m!
Thanks to Jon K7RF who started the contest with a great run into Asia on 40m via
the K3 remote...
We had more than 1 operator available for most of the rest of the contest, with
Jon K7RF, Hank KR7X, Mark W7ZB, Phil WR7T, Jim KI7Y, Jack AA0IZ and Andy KE7AUB
all putting in some chair time ... and lots of Bench Racing and BSing! Even an
807 or two on a beautiful July day hi hi.
2/3 CW contacts - this contest always a CW event it would seem.
Score slightly higher than last year, with Q's WAY higher (50% higher) and very
similar mults, but score only 10% higher? Oh Well. I guess we run too much and
don't pay attention to mults enough? We LOVE to run!
Thanks to the gang for keeping the station running Bell to Bell!
For KT7E, de trustee K7ZS
Cheers! Kevin
