Comments:
I had a couple of obligations this weekend that prevented the full 24 hours.
I'm not sure how much better I would have done with the extra time. The bands
got pretty dry. Rates were pretty low, though the runs were long. I spent most
of my time on 40 and 20, but 80 was fun towards the end. It's so much easier to
find a run frequency with CW!
I spent Saturday evening hunting mults and had 83 before turning in (missing
only AB). First QSO on Sunday was AB for the sweep. I had 500 Qs at that point,
so it was clear that my 1000 QSO goal is still eluding me.
I had quite a bit of noise on 20M to the west. It came and went but was there
most of the time. It was mostly annoying and didn't seem to disrupt many QSOs
My wireless keyboard battery got flakey on Sunday. That was a little
frustrating! I guess I should change it every year (add to my checklist).
The K4 continues to perform well. No issues at all with equipment other than my
computer keyboard, which was easily fixed with a couple of new AAA cells.
Had a great time, but now I'm ready for some sleep!
73, thanks for the Qs!
Rick
