Comments:
spent a lot of time getting a repaired K6LRG remote radio qrv over the last
week, and although I had limited time this weekend, wanted to make a showing
with time available to me. total op time = 10 hours, 8 on Friday night and 2 on
Sat night/sun AM
Conditions --
Fri afternoon I was encouraged by some of the daylight contacts I made, and just
powered through the greyline. I was amazed that I was able to work 48
States!!!! (and nearly all Canadian provinces) in that 8 hour window.
Domestically the band was great! DX was a little tougher, no EU heard, able to
work some of the in hemisphere dx.. Carib , v3, XE, etc. I got tired before
the asia pac window, and as I had Saturday daytime commitments I pulled the
plug.
After my Saturday non ham business was complete, I QRV around 0900 UTC sunday,
was able to pick up state 49, and dial in a few more sections, work some locals
and put some JA in the log. but the great conditions from the night before were
gone.. and even domestic contacts were difficult.
Overall pleased with result of 10 hours work
*77 of 84 arrl/rac sections. thats like SS numbers!
*worked 49 of 50 US States including KH6 and KL7. (in 10 hours!!?)
*nice little JA bursts 0930-10 utc Sun AM
Antenna: Simple Inverted L with bend at 50 ft crossing over and down. sub
optimal ground radial system (on 1850ft ASL hilltop)

Great to get the K6LRG station back in the game!
