Comments:
Started on 10. Very active band initially. Win Keyer mini kept shutting down
after first character sent. Went thru Winkeyer set up twice until I realized
that RF was getting into the USB output to the Miniwini. Mixture 43 toroid used
on interconnect cable, which was short, and it solved the problem. Finished and
ten was dead, 15 was fading a bit and spent too much time there, 20, 40 and 80
were very good. First time worked the last hours and had some of best rates
during that time. Going to alter approach for next NAQP.
Used Smithsonian Amateur Radio Group callsign which resulted in a problem. Very
few got the callsign correctly the first time- so there were repeats galore.
DIT DIT DIT DIT DIT challenged some ops. Going to use call only on SSB contests
from now on.
Thanks for all of Q's from PVRC'ers.
