Comments:
Southeast driven antenna (sloping dipole) broke in wind/ice 2 weeks ago,
replacement temp antenna (phased short verticals) was not good, so we had a null
in that direction. Conditions seemed weird, no real EU runs either night even
with quiet conditions sometimes; no EU at all at their SR today. Combining
network had a failure early Saturday, turned out to be an easy fix (in the cold
and wind). Work and family requirements cut into operating time; goal was to
keep the fun quotient high and that was achieved. Very pleasant to sometimes
share more than contest exchange--topbanders are cool. Thanks for the Qs.
Station: K3, KW SSPA, wire arrays to NE, W and SE, combos of any 2 or all 3. No
RX antennas; the TX arrays work good on RX.
