Comments:
Personal best score and BIC time in this one. It was a bit rough going at times
with a wire and gutters for an antenna. Difficult to determine how good or bad
propagation was. 40 and 15 were my best bands for working DX. (41 DXC worked)
Not much DX heard on 20m. Mostly domestic WPX on 20 and 80. It was mostly
S&P up and down the bands as CQs either went unanswered or I got bumped (a
lot) off my CQ Freq. Hard to hold a frequency when most of your RF is burning a
hole in the ground... or in my case at 75 watts out, warming the ground!
Set out to make it to 500 Qs and break through the 250K score barrier. Achieved
both goals, and had fun along the way. KE0L and I did our usual bantering back
and forth during the contest, which always adds a bit more to the competition.
A big thanks to the many stations who hung in there patiently to pull out my
call and/or exchange.
Worked 5 TCG this contest...Thanks for the Qs!
Thanks for all the Qs!
