Comments:
We got up to Redgranite WI on Friday afternoon. The area was ice covered.
Raised the old, old G5RV antenna up in the trees in front of the cabin.
That night the cabin temp dropped. It was 12 F degrees outside. We had
very high SWR on 20, 40 and 80 meters.Tree trimming and two trips to Ace
Hardware in Wautoma (8 miles one way). Sunday 20 mins. before the WIQP
we had better SWR due to a rewire solder torch fix. Our daughter called
telling us our plans changed for barge fishing next weekend. She forgot
we were in the WIQP today. Two minutes to start of WIQP. CQ, CQ, CQ.
Gil and I used my call, WB9TFF for the WIQP. We doubled our score from
from last year. Used a rigblaster with N1MM for DVK and cw for running.
Thanks for the qso's. 73 WB9TFF Donna and WB9TFH Gil
