Comments:
Again a test with the Lithium-Titanate-Oxide (Li4Ti5O12)
batteries. These are great for Arctic fieldwork as the
temperature range is -40 C +60 C. Now run at room temp,
used 48 Wh for the hour, 11 Wh for RX:ing on the IC-7300.
About the same as for the 1300Z session.
We are sliding into Winter, early darkness. Spent 20 min
on 14 MHz for my 6 Q's. All very weak. Next 7 MHz turned
out so busy that I almost forgot to check out 3.5 MHz.
Recently I improved the counterpoise on the lower band
(for the sloper wire used on all HF-bands). Aurora was
slowly gearing up along the progress of this session,
and now near 50 GW at the time of this writing (2110Z).
Nice to work Jorma OH2KI on 7 MHz after a long break.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
