Comments:
As usual, I stayed on 10m more than I should have. 15m really was the money
band, and I should have been on it more.
With my rotor stuck northeast, I knew I could not be competitive this weekend.
Working south America was tough, and I could not do my usual running of JAs on
10 and 15.
I was not on 80m on Friday night, and when I was on 80 Saturday night, it was as
dead as I have seen it in my 15 years on 80 meters. Not noisy at all, but I
just could not hear any DX. Other locals had the same problem.
When I worked ZS6Z I was shocked to get a "TU TIM". Since I really
don't know any South Africans, I looked up the call and found that it must have
been Dick N6AA or Marty N6VI on their contest expedition!
Rig: TS-590SG

Ants: Tribander at 23 feet stuck northeast
40m inverted vee at 40 feet
80m sloping dipole
