Comments:
First time operating ARRL 10 meter contest. Band conditions really good. Super
fun contest! Friday night 10 was open to Texas and southern parts of the US at
11:30 PM EST ( 0430 UTC Saturday morning ). Not sure how long it stayed open
just worked 16 CW contacts and hit the sack. Sunday morning was my most
productive time for working DX multipliers. We had new hams making SSB contacts
during the contest on HF for the first time. Looking forward to next year and
improving my score! A simple dipole at 1/2 wavelength ( about 16.5 ft ) and
about 16 foot above the ground worked great. Amazing on what can be worked with
such a simple antenna. Temps were mild here in Ohio so putting up a dipole last
minute was doable! Can’t wait to see Ron’s score! :) 73’s WB8REI
