Hello from Magic Island, Oahu, Hawaii!
Plan A was to set up my antenna in the park, but as I started walking to set it
up, it started raining. And I got a text from my friend telling me it was
raining for him as well (not far away). So I took a look at the clouds, and
switched to plan B.
Plan B was to set up the hustler antenna on top of my car. So, I squished myself
into my car, with windows rolled up, and did that. My car is really too small
for this! Couldn't hear very much on either 20m or 10m, but tried running, got
spotted pretty decently, and managed a contact with a former CWA classmate!
Lots of problems keying though, all self inflicted. Need to set up a better way
so I don't fumble the paddles :P
Definitely the right call to operate in the car, it was a bit too wet to operate
outside...
Not sure yet my plans for 3z. Probably will try again at 7z, though :)
Aloha and 72
