Comments:
Despite knowing FQP was coming, I hadn't made up my mind for how long/how
intensely I wanted to participate. I recently fixed one of my rigs, so I decided
to go LP to see if it will survive a 100w marathon (it did!).
Lots of in and out of the shack, and some re-wiring effort to minimize some rf
audio interference I noticed. I also tried N1MM+ for the first time, just to
realize that I want to stick with Win-Test in the future.
Unlike in so many other regions in FL, I did not have to shut down because of
thunderstorms. The bands were noisy (especially on Saturday), but none of the
mess went across my neck of the woods.
Band condx: The numbers say it all: 20m was the busiest, while 10m seemed as
deserted. Not sure how poor condx really were, or if people just did not make
the move up there...
Thanks everyone, I had a good time!
73,
Wolf, NN7CW
PS: I even added a couple of extra QSOs while I was trying to find a network
issue Sa night and missed noticing that the party was already over. Luckily,
eventually someone told me that it was time to stop calling CQ FQP, HI!
