Comments:
Congratulations to Mason, km4sii, for an outstanding LP score using all wires
(but some tall trees I suspect)!
20m was unbelievable, open all night and 15m open very late! I went to 40m to
catch the EU opening but a storm and qrn sent me right back to 20m. By 0800Z
JAs started arriving on 40m with the band in much better shape. I worked
JA/Pacific on 20m and/or 40m until 1330z. Man, that was the best of times since
moving here!
On Saturday expected EU on 10m. Nothing, and 20m and 15m were already in decline
too.
After a start like that the remainder of the contest was down hill, especially
on 40m/80m; far fewer state-side stations answered my 1 point second radio cq.
South American and Caribbean stations were fewer as well compared to what I
typically hear.
Wow, that was something!
