Comments:
My plan was to have my IC-7100 ready for FD and use it for this contest. I
managed to get all the hardware and antennas ready by Saturday afternoon. I was
tired and dirty, so I decided to get cleaned up and return to configure the
software and operate. I did not get the setup completed by the time that I was
just too tired. I decided to quit and in the night decided to use the IC-7610
for the contest. It should be ready. Sunday morning I opened up N1MM+ and
found that the setup would not work. So, I spend most of the day re-configuring
N1MM+ and WSJT-X for operation. Several things were messed up. I got my first
contact at 20:42z using FT4 on 20 meters. I stayed on that band and mode and got
47 contacts, before switching to FT8 for the last three for a total of 50
contacts. During my 3:18 hours of operation, I took time for supper and a couple
of walks down the road. I found four problems in the log that I overlooked in
the calamity of operation where the grids were not entered. Luckily, I found
the data in the ALL.txt file of WSJT-X and fixed the log. Next weekend is the
ARRL VHF contest. I hope I will better prepared for that.
