Comments:
The Proton event has been above alert levels
for about 40 hours. This means a Polar Cap
Blackout at least above 67 degrees geomagnetic
North. There was spotty sporadic E, and I got
RBN-flags on 28 MHz from DL/HA, but no CWT.
On 14 MHz to work USA one needed in addition
to matched antennas also matched callsigns as
the only one heard and worked was Tony K3ZA.
USA activity for USA started very late on 21 MHz,
and Europe was very spotty with Ken CT7AGZ being
the strongest today. Frans PA0INA was also booming
but for a very short moment. I heard E21EIC at fair
levels on both 14/21, but no success.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
