Comments:
Well that was fun! Propagation was the only thing holding us back. First 24
hours were better than the last. Low bands seemed down. What a difference a
month makes compared to the RTTY weekend.
We watched our coastal competitors get good starts on Friday night but we seemed
to gain traction against them on Saturday morning. Saturday night seemed
dampened and the openings on Sunday morning were later and the signals were much
weaker for us.
The team was awesome and kept all the radios busy at all hours. We were not
going to miss anything. Everyone took their time in the run slot and the
partners were busy chasing the multipliers or interleaving.
Everyone brought food and none of us lost weight! Every year this is our local
firemen's chili supper and we were not disappointed. We even had a new grill to
utilize for the fajitas, steak, burgers and brats.
Thanks for everyone that was on the online scoreboard. That competition keeps us
focused. The multiplier bells were ringing at all hours as that kept us in the
hunt.
Again, this was a team effort and I appreciate Anthony, CJ, Ryan, Brian and
Patrick for their solid contributions.
See you soon in the next one
73, Craig K9CT
