Site: Horse Mountain DX Ranch, DM54wa, 7900 ft.

Shack: Ford F250 4WD and camper top.

Power: Honda propane generator; no shutting down rig
and pouring gas every few hours (usually required in
the middle of a big run) as in previous years.
No power lines, no noise.

View: Clear from 270 through North to 120.
Looks down 1400 ft NE onto the Plains of San Agustin
and the VLA radio telescope 30 miles away at 6500 ft.

6M rig: Signal/One CX7 (1969), converted to 6M.
(No transverter; 50 directly to first IF at 40, then to 9 MHz.
Fewer conversions result in better dynamic range
and fewer spurs. First crystal LO = 90 MHz.)
Heath SB-220 (1970), converted to 6M.
Two M2 6M7JHV in two rotatable directions, each at 32 ft.
Effective antenna height NE: 1432 ft??
First bounce at 80 miles??
