Spent the day outside at W5KU's QTH in very good
antenna work weather getting tired before the
contest. Planned on a nice nap from 3-5PM.
Came inside at 3 to find that the diskette with
my software on it was blank. Had to run home and
back 2.5 hrs in Houston traffic to recover. Score
didn't recover. Arrived back at shack at 23:40.
Loaded PC and tested at 23:50. Adrenalin ran out
at 01:20 (See rate sheet, below.)
Thought we had got the intermittent out of the 40M
beam, but it came back at 02:00. Oh, well, more
antenna work before the Phone sprint!
On 3830 afterward, reported 44 mults. Forgot to
add in the KP4. Realized tonight that I had not
marked VE1 properly in the log, so moved up a place
in the claimed scores!
Congrats to Bill W4AN on his high score. And Tree
for his near-the-top finish. It will come down to
the log checking!
