Better than last time! But not by much. My 2nd run at this one.
Decided to try again at the low power game to hone the skills and
humble factor. Still have a lot of work to do on the new antenna
as I haven't put together the matching network yet. (Still tuning
it from the shack!). Friday night was laden with static crashes,
wasn't a very pretty picture as compared to last year. I finally
caught up with last year on Sunday morning 0200z, then slid
backwards trying to catch all the DX on the band. Lotsa alligators
as previously mentioned in other posts. The DX rolled in strong
the second evening and stayed until EU sunrise. Stayed with it
all night/morning Sunday until 1400z and called it quits. Sunday
morning excitement having V31, Ne and Me checking in for the
last mults during the 10:00z hour. Several JA's heard, but no
luck getting through the piles. Got home just in time for the
coin toss! I'll be baaack with better weapons next year!
