Notes: Friday night QRN on 80/160 was really bad. On 160 it averaged S9+20 on
the 4-square and S9 on the Beverages. K0HA was hearing Europeans we couldn't
hear... Saturday night and Sunday evening were so quiet it sounded like
something was broken - no QRN but signal levels were also pretty low.
It was nice to work a bunch of JAs on 10m plus some QRP JAs on 40m. The
Sunday morning surprise was some long path JAs and VR2KF around 13z - nice to
see the ARRL propagation charts (available from the CD version of the Antenna
Handbook - thanks N6BV!) were very accurate.
The was our first test of CT using K1TTT's ethernet drivers. Nothing like a
full contest effort to stress things. Did have to reboot each PC at least once
during the contest. Not sure why yet. Even so, getting away from the null
modem cables and serial port hassles was worth it!
