Great conditions on 160-80-40, and 20 was open to the west, but worked only
W7SW. Ran all six bands with W5JAW locally. The practice was good in terms
of moving stations and unlimbering. Lots of activity. Good stuff.
The numbers:
160 3Q 2M
80 14Q 11M
40 17Q 15M
20 2Q 2M
15 1Q 1M
10 1Q 1M
TOT 38Q 32M
The weather forecast here in Central Texas for Saturday is terrible; an
arctic front will pass through with rain and lightning, and icing possible.
It sounds like lotsa QRN and potentially rain and ice static in addition,
plus the potential of icing loads on the antennas. Not good.
We should have some good activity levels with the usual Austin Powers
nonsense. K5PI has been our team captain.
See everyone Saturday, dodging the raindrops, static, and ice crystals
(hopefully).
