Thanks to all those who worked us!! Sorry to those who tried on 160/80. We
had a sand storm that was so bad we were off the air for 2 hours Sat. night
The only time the QRN was under 10 over was sunrise Sunday morning. W5MJ did
a great job on 2 Bev's and we just didn't get to put them to good use. A
couple of short 10m openings that we caught was all for that band. We only
had one rig and couldn't watch 10m for openings.
Man 15m was unbelievable!!! We had a great time even with the wind storm. It
spun the TH6 around to the west and finally Sunday afternoon I was goated to
climb the tower in 45mph wind to turn it back NE. It paid off with a BIG
close by XE2XB on 15m!
This was my first time to operate SSB outside the US and what a thrill! N5RP
put the pressure on me to start out and just after 0215 I looked at the QSO
number and it was 502 !! WOW I'm hooked! Just think what a real op could
have done.. maybe over 300 hr!!!
Thanks again for the Q's and here are the numbers for those who like to look
at them.
